Kristin has over 12 years of experience in domestic relations and civil litigation. She is a graduate of Duke University and University of Georgia School of Law. During her time in law school, Kristin served on the Editorial Board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. She is a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Book Award for Criminal Procedure. A member of the Mecklenburg County Bar, she has served in many leadership capacities, including Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary and member of the Board of Directors of the Young Lawyers Division, as well as Co-Chair of the Family Law Section. Kristin serves on the executive committee of the Domestic Court Committee of Mecklenburg County Courts. She is also a member of the American Bar Association as well as the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association, serving on the Family Law Council, the elected governing body of the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. Kristin has been rated as having high to very high legal abilities and very high ethical standards as established by a survey of confidential opinions from area judges and attorneys.
