Meet Mallory

I have a passion for helping people through challenging circumstances and finding resolutions that make the best of a difficult situation. I have often found myself working with friends and family to resolve conflict, and when I was introduced to the field of family law years ago, I quickly realized it was the perfect way for me to continue using my skills to help people during a hard time in their life.

Divorce is difficult – even when the decision to separate is a mutual one – and it can generate more emotions than people can manage. I believe that you need a compassionate attorney who will really listen to you, discuss your needs and feelings, and help guide you through that process.  Each client has their own unique circumstances and emotions that they must work through.  My goal with every case is to absorb every bit of that for my client, understand my client’s specific needs and goals, and then co-create a plan with my client to move their life forward in a positive way.

I have represented clients in North and South Carolina, in various matters including divorce, child custody, child support, post-separation support, alimony, equitable distribution, prenuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, third-party custody matters, collaborative divorce, domestic violence and other family law issues.

I was born and raised in Morgantown, West Virginia where many of my family members still reside. I graduated from West Virginia University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations. While at West Virginia University, I was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and a member of the WVU Debate Team. After graduating from WVU, I moved to Charlotte to attend law school where I held the position of the 4th Circuit Governor for the American Bar Association’s Law Student Division, served as editor in chief for the school’s newspaper, and completed over 140 hours of pro bono service.

Prior to joining the team at Conrad, Trosch & Kemmy, I practiced family law at firms in Union and Mecklenburg counties. I am active in the legal community, where I currently serve as the Chair of the Mecklenburg County Family Law Section.  Previously, I have had the pleasure of serving as the Chair of the Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) Committee for the Mecklenburg County Bar and a member of the LRS Taskforce, as well as serving the Mecklenburg County Family Law Section in various capacities. In June 2018, I was honored to have graduated from the Mecklenburg County Bar Association’s Bar Leadership Institute.  I am a regular volunteer with the Council for Children’s Rights as a volunteer attorney and as pro bono attorney with Safe Alliance.  Because I believe in the value of having knowledgeable and caring Judges serving our society, I was actively involved in the campaign to elect Judge Lou Trosch, Jr. to Superior Court. I am also actively involved with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Charlotte chapter, where I was selected as a 2018 STANDOUT, and awarded with “STANDOUT of the Year” for raising the most funds during the program, totaling over $8,500.00.  When I am not working or raising awareness and funds for Cystic Fibrosis, my husband and I are dedicated to raising our two rescue pups, traveling, cheering on our favorite sports teams, and spending time with family and friends.
